National Account Manager

National Account Manager – Merchant Channel

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of key national merchant and buying group accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in driving sales, building strategic partnerships and delivering commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key national merchant and buying group accounts.
  • Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at Head Office and regional level.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing reviews and contract renewals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, product listings and promotional activities.
  • Deliver sales targets through effective account planning and market analysis.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and operational delivery.
  • Monitor account performance, provide sales forecasts and present regular business reviews.

About You

  • Experience managing merchant accounts or working within the merchant sector.
  • National Account Management experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence analysing sales data and identifying growth opportunities.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
