Sco-Fro – Senior/National Account Manager
MM Search are delighted to have been retained by Sco-Fro Group to identify a National Account Manager to join their growing commercial team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FMCG commercial professional with a strong background in account management, business development, and grocery retail to play a key role in driving growth across major retail, foodservice, discount, and B2B channels. The successful candidate will take ownership of key customer relationships, including full P&L responsibility for the Asda account, while also leading new business development opportunities and shaping strategic growth plans.
About you:
- Previous Account Management and Business Development experience within the FMCG sector and ideally in a multiple retailer environment (bonus points if Asda)
- Experience achieving new business within the supermarket space mainly in the Top 6 Grocers
- Experience of working on both Retailer own label and branded sales
- Experience presenting and selling to buyers through face-to-face meetings
- Ability to multitask

About the role:
- Communicating with new and existing clients, building, and developing relationships
- Manage the Asda account with full P&L responsibility delivering on sales and GP targets
- Manage several smaller accounts across various channels and markets
- Aggressively target new business across retail, discount, foodservice, and B2B channels
- Lead commercial discussions with customers including pricing negotiations, CPI’s & JBP’s
- Entrepreneurial acumen – looking for someone that can demonstrate a track record of starting new business from scratch
- Setting budgets for customers working with the Head of Sales, MD, and Finance Director
- Understand customer KPIs, targets, and review performance
- Organising and managing regular customer meetings and presentations
- Preparing for meetings and ensuring samples, costs, designs, presentations, and proposals are ready
- Monitoring market trends and category insights and using this to develop customer strategies
- Completing market reviews and ‘how’ opportunities will be achieved
- Formulating customer specific sales plans/strategies in line with accountable budgets, costing, packaging, and retail prices
- Using consumer insights and data to demonstrate where the brand and products fit into grocery strategy, or what need/gap they fulfil
- Promotion planning and forecasting
- Keep abreast of market trends and look for ways to develop solutions that meet the needs of emerging trends
- Presenting internally & externally on account performance, opportunities, and growth plans
- Working cross-functionally with all internal teams to support product development and ensure a smooth launch process
