National Account Manager - Grocery
Customer Category Account Director – Onestop (FMCG) (Rothwell, Reading)
About the Role
At PepsiCo UK, we’re shaping the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks—brands like Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. Based in Reading (moving to a vibrant new office at the end of 2025), we’re solving challenges across our Quaker mill (Cupar), Doritos factory (Coventry), and our world’s-largest crisp factory (Leicester).
This Customer Category Account Director role is critical for driving commercial success on the Onestop account, the UK’s leading multi-category retailer. You will own all category elements of the Walkers, Chips Ahoy!, Sabra, and Kind’s portfolios at the Wholesale Market Sales (WMS) level.

Strategic Execution & Planning
- Build, align, and execute customer and category plans to drive distribution, space, and rate of sale
- Lead the development of insight-led trade and promotional plans—ensuring SKU prioritisation and compliance with commercial guardrails
- Translate shopper, category, and performance insights into actionable plans to improve in-store execution and conversion rates
- Own day-to-day account management, fostering strong relationships across Buying, Trade Planning, Supply Chain, and Store Operations
Operational Excellence
- Deliver best-in-class "Perfect Store" execution by focusing on availability, visibility, and secondary space activation
- Manage forecasting accuracy and in-year performance, identifying risks/opportunities to meet volume and financial targets
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align with Category, Supply Chain, RGM, and Marketing to secure buy-in and execute key initiatives
- Continuously refine plans based on performance data and evolving market dynamics
- Enhance long-term Onestop account strategy, including AOP (Asset Optimisation Plan), range reviews, and customer planning

Key Qualifications
Essential
- Commercial FMCG or organised trade experience, with a track record of driving sales, share, and financial growth
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data (sales, distribution, promotions) and translate findings into actionable strategies
- Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, P&L ownership, and performance tracking
- Proven influence and relationship-building skills, including with Buyers and cross-functional teams
- High personal accountability, proactive mindset, and results-driven ethos
- Exceptional communication skills, able to simplify complex insights and present clear recommendations
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally (Category, Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.) to execute market plans
- Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG environment
Desirable
- Tesco Group, UK Grocery, or Convenience sector experience
- Understanding of customer operations, procurement structures, and retail ways of working
