National Account Manager - Grocery (Maternity Cover)
Senior Associate, Sales Account Management
Location: Frimley, Surrey Contract: Fixed-Term (approximately 12 months, maternity cover) Reporting: Channel Controller – Grocery
About the Role
We are looking for a superstar National Account Manager to drive growth for our key accounts, Asda and Morrisons, within the UK Grocery team. This role sits within Lifestyle Brands (the LSB)—the umbrella for forward-thinking household brands like Method, Mrs. Meyer’s, Babyganics, and Ecover—and is part of SC Johnson, a family-owned company committed to delivering positive impact for people and the planet.

Responsibilities
- Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and execute customer growth strategies, identifying high-impact opportunities to drive sustainable sales, profits, ROI, and distribution.
- Own and deliver annual business plans aligned with budget targets for assigned accounts.

Account Leadership:
- Lead negotiations on trade terms, pricing, and promotional plans to maximise relational and commercial value.
- Oversee forecasting, financial planning, and performance tracking, ensuring accountability.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships, collaborating across functions.

Presentation & Advocacy:
- Craft compelling customer propositions, distilling insights into bold narratives for stakeholders.
- Champion LSB’s purpose-driven culture, fostering brand alignment within the team.
Who You Are
We’re seeking a driven, creative storyteller with a passion for purpose-led brands and sustainability. Here’s what you’ll bring:
✔ FMCG/Grocery Account Management Experience
- Proven ability to grow portfolio performance through strategic negotiation and end-to-end execution.
✔ Commercial Acumen
- Experience in budget management (P&L oversight), data analysis, and measures like ROI and distribution planning.
✔ Relationship Mastery
- Expertise negotiating trade terms, handling objections, and engaging leadership at multiple stakeholder levels.
✔ Storytelling & Influence
- Ability to translate data into persuasive pitches for both internal teams and key customer collaborators.
✔ Mindset & Drive
- A bias for action, resilience in fast-paced settings, and stretch-target mentality.
✔ Passion for Impact
- Belief in clean(er) futures—preferable for candidates with sustainability advocacy or hands-on industry experience.
