National Account Manager – Grocery
West Midlands
£55-60k + 10% bonus + Car Allowance
Our client:
High growth FMCG business with a predominantly private label portfolio and a broad range of customers spanning top 4 grocery, discounters & convenience. Culture built on rewarding individuals for driving growth, ultimately incentivising the team to deliver excellence (Customer Relationships & Account growth) has meant the organisation has seen strong growth in recent years. They are now looking to appoint a dynamic National Account Manager to join them and manage their grocery relationships.
The role:
We are looking for a National Account Manager to deliver strategic partnership with major grocery customers. You would be fully P+L responsible when managing the relationships, driving forward the customer’s vision and plan across the cross-functional team.
- Own and grow key customer relationships, developing strategic account plans, leading JBP and range review negotiations, and delivering sales, profit and market share objectives across own-label products.
- Manage full commercial performance and P&L accountability, including forecasting, pricing, trade investment, promotional planning and performance analysis to ensure profitable growth and strong return on investment.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, collaborating cross-functionally to execute plans, drive projects, communicate key insights, and ensure alignment across sales, marketing, category, supply chain and finance teams.

Ideal National Account Manager candidate:
This is a truly exciting opportunity for someone currently in a National Account Manager role or has worked extensively with grocery / discounter customers. Successful candidates for this National Account Manager role will come with a track-record of success within FMCG account management or Retail Buying within UK retail – ideally with 4+ years of experience. You will have a genuine flair for building customer relationships and a ‘can do’ attitude is a must.
