National Account Manager (Foodservice & Manufacturing)

Remote (South of England preferred)

About the Role

Are you an experienced National Account Manager with a passion for developing customer relationships and driving commercial growth within the FMCG sector?

We're seeking a commercially minded National Account Manager to join our growing business, overseeing key Foodservice & Manufacturing accounts while uncovering new opportunities to boost sales and profitability.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, your role will focus on:

  • Managing and growing your account portfolio
  • Securing new business opportunities
  • Delivering profitable growth through long-term partnerships
  • Leading negotiations, pricing agreements, and cross-functional initiatives

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on building strategic relationships, driving commercial objectives, and collaborating across multiple departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Account management: Nurture and expand portfolios of Foodservice & Manufacturing accounts.
  • Relationship building: Develop strong commercial ties at multiple decision-making levels.
  • New business growth: Identify and secure profitable new opportunities.
  • Commercial negotiations: Lead pricing, trading conditions, and long-term agreements.
  • Performance accountability: Oversee customer P&L performance and maximise profitability.
  • Strategic planning: Develop and execute annual account strategies.
  • Forecasting & alignment: Align demand forecasts with customer sales plans.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, NPD, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Project support: Manage NPD and EPD initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Market intelligence: Track trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Reporting & governance: Provide accurate account reporting and project management.

About You

We’re looking for a candidate with:

✔ 5+ years’ experience in National Account Management, preferably within FMCG ✔ Proven track record managing Foodservice, Manufacturing, Wholesale, or Retail accounts ✔ Strong record of delivering profitable sales growth ✔ Commercial acumen for negotiations, pricing, and forecasting ✔ Ability to manage customer P&Ls and drive profitability ✔ Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills ✔ Proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on opportunity recognition
