National Account Manager (Vending & Whitespace) – Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

Location: Manchester (based at Media City Offices) Model: Flexible working


Kellanova’s transformative journey is reimagining Foodservice growth, with a focus on vending and whitespace opportunities. As a high-impact National Account Manager, you’ll have full ownership of key channels including vending, QSR, on-trade, and wholesale, driving commercial excellence and shaping how we sell, win, and lead.

This role offers full commercial ownership, from financial delivery to customer strategy, while leading cross-functional teams to exceed targets. You’ll work alongside a team pushing boundaries and championing innovation.


About the Role

As a National Account Manager in Kellanova’s Away from Home division, you’ll:

  • Inspire and lead customers to buy our iconic snacking brands and leading cereals through strategic business growth.
  • Be the voice of the customer internally, collaborating across Commercial Strategy, Category Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
  • Drive revenue targets, strong Partnerships, and operational excellence.
  • Manage forecasting, S&OP alignment, and risk management for customer-facing solutions.

This position requires bold leadership, a results-driven mindset, and a passion for building mutal success with Kellanova’s global Foodservice partners.


Your Responsibilities

Commercial Performance & Execution

  • Deliver targeted financial KPIs—Net Sales Value, Gross Margin, and Gross Margin %.
  • Own both external customer performance and internal stakeholder reporting.

Strategic Customer Partnerships

  • Build long-term, high‑impact relationships with customers to execute comprehensive plans.
  • Align and refine joint business strategies across short, medium, and long-term horizons.

Forecasting & S&OP

  • Develop accurate volume forecasts with customers, aligning them into Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Execute receipt forecasts, supply chain, and promotional optimisation to drive efficiency.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Champion trade strategy, including:
    • Category Vision & Assortment planning
    • Price & Pack optimisation
    • Visibility & retail imprint strategy
    • Promotional effectiveness & pressure activation
  • Work with external and internal partners to develop strategies that win.

Leadership & Development

  • Coach and develop a National Account Executive (reporting directly to you).
  • Drive performance enhancement and capability-building within your team.

Requirements

We’re looking for a high-performing driven individual with:

✅ Proven experience as a KAM, Senior KAM or National Account Manager, ideally in foodservice or vending. ✅ Strong advisory and commercial skills: can diagnose business challenges, evaluate tactical solutions, and influence strategy. ✅ A proactive mindset: confident, persuasive, and eager to deliver results. ✅ Data-driven approach: ability to analyse, interpret KPIs, and translate insights into action. ✅ Experience in managing forecasts, planning and executing supply/promotional schedules across multiple accounts. ✅ Cross-functional leadership: skill in acting as a bridge between customers and internal teams to deliver cohesive strategies. ✅ Passion for positive disruption: bold thinking—Readily challege norms and drive change.
