National Business Development Manager– Jockey Club Experiences, Remote | Full-Time / 9-12 month FTC

National Business Development Manager– Responsibilities

  • To drive new business from both agents and direct clients, to hit agreed annual targets and monthly KPIs
  • To contribute to the delivery of the overall C&E budget, through new business sales.
  • To lead on and attend all exhibitions, representing all The Jockey Club Venues.
  • To proactively manage relationships with key Conference & Events agencies, ensuring account management plans are in place for the top 20
  • In conjunction with the Heads of Commercial, create new business acquisition plans, based on key industry sectors and geographical areas, with a key focus on need venues.
  • To produce a monthly report to share with the business, regarding activity both past and future, current pipeline, conversion, and to report back on ROI from exhibitions, events, and networking.
  • To work with the Sales Managers to convert ‘hot bookings’ and join appointments / showrounds when required
  • To regularly review the marketing plan with the C&E Marketing Managers, to ensure spend is focused in the right areas and make recommendations on which trade events and exhibitions to attend.
  • To attend industry events and networking and share learnings with the Heads of Commercial and Sales Manager.
  • To stay abreast of competitor activity and offers and feedback industry intelligence to the Heads of Commercial.
  • To support with product innovation, share ideas, and attend workshops as and when required.

What we’re looking for

  • 4+ years sales experience.
  • Meeting and Events industry experience and knowledge
  • Forward thinking, hunger to deliver results
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proactive, driven, and self-motivated individual
  • Strong communication skills, persuasive and confident
  • Tenacious and ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Requires strong time management skills.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills, national team relations, a flexible, dynamic, and positive demeanour.
