National Customs Operations Manager

As National Customs Operations Manager, you will:

How You Create Impact

  • Lead and oversee national customs operations, ensuring compliance, operational excellence and long-term strategic agility across all business units.
  • Drive continuous improvement, enhancing productivity, efficiency and service quality.
  • Identify and implement automation and digital solutions to optimise customs processes.
  • Support RFQs (requests for Quotation) and operational integrations for new business.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and represent operations in high-stakes engagements.
  • Collaborate across IT, Sales, Compliance and Operations to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Lead strategic projects to ensure measurable outcomes and smooth implementation.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing, inclusive team, fostering a performance-driven culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in customs operations management in logistics or supply chain environments.
  • Deep knowledge of UK and international customs regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated process optimisation, automation and continuous improvement skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach and develop diverse teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in customs management systems (e.g., CargoWise or similar).
  • Fluent English; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
