- Proven leadership experience, managing field-based sales teams within FMCG, oral nicotine, or a similar sector.
- Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to balance client needs and internal business objectives.
- Commercial acumen, with a track record of managing KPIs and driving sales performance.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with a focus on coaching and team development.
- Adaptability and resilience, working effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Passion for diversity and inclusion, fostering a team culture that promotes respect and equal opportunities for all.
- A normal weekly working pattern of this role is 3 days at home, 2 days in the field with your team, participating in their day job whilst coaching and supporting their ongoing development. There may also be an expectation to visit head office or clients office. Flexibility for frequent travel, including overnight stays is a minimum requirement.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced National Field Manager to lead a team of 9 field-based Brand Activation Managers supporting one of our strategic partners' launch and development of their brand in the UK. This role will be responsible for taking the client's direction and turning it into actions and deliverables, managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional performance from the team, and maintaining a strong and effective relationship with our client to align with their strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our company’s values and mission are reflected in all aspects of execution.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop our Brand Activation Team, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
- Support team members in the field 2 out of 5 days per week, providing guidance and hands-on coaching.
- Foster a results-driven culture that aligns with Phoenix 2 Retail’s values and mission.
- Deliver weekly remote meetings with your team ensuring they have all the tools to be successful in the market.
- Deliver a quarterly meeting in person – building engagement, culture, and a performance-first mindset.

Client Engagement
- Work closely with our client, taking instructions and strategic guidance while ensuring smooth execution of brand objectives.
- Maintain open communication with key stakeholders to align sales activities with client expectations.
- Ensure all field operations reflect both the client’s strategic vision and Phoenix 2 Retail’s core values.
Operational & Sales Performance
- Oversee and optimise field sales efforts, ensuring high-quality, consultative customer engagements.
- Drive profitability and operational efficiency through structured sales strategies and process improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously seek ways to enhance team effectiveness.
Stakeholder & Market Engagement
- Actively engage with cross-functional teams to drive seamless execution of sales and activation plans.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
