National Field Services Manager
Nelson
Permanent, full-time

Role Overview
The National Field Services Manager is responsible for supporting the business plans by ensuring that Detectronic provides a reliable, repeatable, and customer-centric service to its customers from the installation of the first product through to the ongoing provision of maintenance activities and data services. The National Field Service Manager will report directly to the Service Delivery Director and will have a proven track record of delivering complex and geographically widespread projects ranging from thousands of installs to bespoke solutions for our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for all Service Delivery activities, including installations of Detectronic's portfolio of Monitoring equipment, including Level, flow, and Water Quality.
- Manage a team of Project Engineers and Field Service Managers to inspire our front-line staff to deliver best-in-class service to our clients.
- Refine and develop Standard Operating Procedures for all activities involved in Field Services.
- Be responsible for the Field Services Budget and aim to deliver below budget by increasing efficiencies and productivity.
- Drive quality as a priority on all projects and contracts with a right-first-time ethos.
- Be curious – use Innovation and procedural improvements to drive performance and efficiencies.
- Develop our people to be the best they can be, creating a culture of learning, coaching, and empowerment.
- Inspire and motivate best-in-class delivery from installation, maintenance, and data quality.
- Promote a culture focused on the health, safety, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion of all employees within their function and deliver associated outcomes.
- Work closely with the Service Delivery Lead and PMO to ensure consistent and effective results for our clients.
- Manage contractor workforce.
- The role will cover all of our contracts.
- Provide performance reports to the Board on a monthly basis.

About You
- Good knowledge of services pertaining to Adler & Allan group-wide offering.
- Tenacity, durability, and able to demonstrate resilience with a positive attitude to change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good financial acumen.
- PC-based IT skills - Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Proven track record of delivery and achievement.
- Strong planning and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage and influence a skilled multidisciplinary team.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Possession of a clean UK driving license and Right to Work in the UK.
- Engineering competency.
- Knowledge of the water sector.
- Experience in managing field and desk-based operatives and leadership teams in matrix organizations.
- Ability to create bespoke solutions based on customer needs from the suite of Adler & Allan solutions and services.
- A Criminal Record Check will be required due to the environments in which the postholder will operate.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- SMSTS.
- Prince 2.
- NEBOSH – General Certificate.
- Flow and/or Level monitoring of Sewer Networks.
