With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonize it. Our name reflects our mission. “GE” carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. “Ver” signals Earth’s lush ecosystems, while “Nova” nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver.

Let’s Talk About The Role

The National Grid Portfolio Execution Director will serve as the primary internal champion and strategic lead for our extensive portfolio of projects with National Grid.

You will act as the pivotal point of contact for National Grid stakeholders, ensuring we deliver complex, high-value energy infrastructure to the highest standards. By driving execution excellence and building organizational capability, you will align cross-functional teams and lead the delivery strategy for our ongoing energy commitments.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Lead the execution strategy for the National Grid portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact and internal advocate.
  • Build robust, long-term relationships with National Grid stakeholders by aligning our delivery standards with their expectations and project priorities.
  • Create and scale cross-functional synergies to eliminate duplication, reuse capabilities, and streamline vendor management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project methodology, including the implementation of effective engineering, construction, and commissioning strategies.
  • Govern the portfolio by establishing clear frameworks, managing risks, and ensuring transparent reporting across all project forums.
  • Optimize resource capacity and functional alignment to ensure we meet complex programme timelines and avoid delivery bottlenecks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills For Success

  • An understanding of high-voltage transmission environments and M&E contractor management.
  • An expertise in project or programme management within the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • A keen interest in driving operational efficiency and strategic synergy across large-scale energy portfolios.
