National Healthcare Development Manager – Oncology – Basildon – Hybrid

About The Role
Reporting to the General Manager UK, Ireland & Nordics, the National Healthcare Development Manager (NHDM) will lead the UK launch of a specialty oncology product, driving national market access, stakeholder engagement and commercial success across secondary care. This is a high-impact, autonomous role, requiring strong expertise in NHS market access, key account management and oncology product launches.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the national launch strategy for a new oncology product, ensuring strong market access and uptake.
- Own and drive national key account strategy, aligning local HDM plans with global market access and brand strategy.
- Secure formulary inclusion and protocol adoption across NHS organisations to enable patient access.
- Build and manage high-value relationships with national stakeholders, KOLs and key decision-makers.
- Develop and deliver robust national and local account plans to maximise commercial performance.
- Deliver market access strategy, including pricing, reimbursement and negotiation with hospital pharmacies.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across secondary care and ICS networks.
- Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies across the UK healthcare landscape.
- Generate and communicate customer insights and patient flow data to inform strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical, Marketing and Sales teams.
- Ensure full compliance with ABPI Code of Practice and all regulatory requirements.
- Track and communicate KPIs and performance metrics aligned to account plans.
- Champion Key Account Management best practices and CRM utilisation.
- Represent Pharmanovia at congresses, meetings and key industry events.

Qualifications
- Proven experience leading national market access and product launches within Oncology.
- Strong track record in Key Account Management across the UK NHS and secondary care environment.
- Demonstrated success in securing formulary access, reimbursement and market uptake.
- Deep understanding of UK healthcare systems, ICS structures and secondary care purchasing processes.
- Strong ability to influence, negotiate and engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Experience working with oncology products and hospital-based specialists.
- Commercially driven with a consistent record of high performance and sales achievement.
- Experience in Advance Budgetary Notification (ABN) and national access pathways.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a matrix organisation.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar market access/KAM role.
