The National Immunisation Coordinator provides clinical leadership, coordination, and practical support to lift immunisation coverage, equity, and quality across the Community Care PHO network.

Working in partnership with practices, external PHOs, and Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora immunisation teams, the role drives vaccination improvement initiatives, supports immunisation service delivery, and leads cold chain and vaccine incident management across the network.

As the national point of contact for immunisation, the role represents Community Care PHO at regional and national forums and champions whole-of-life vaccination.

Do you have what we are looking for?

  • Registered Nurse - holding a current Annual NZ Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Minimum five years' experience in New Zealand primary care, including whole-of-life vaccinating experience.
  • Experience in vaccination assessment
  • Experience in cold chain assessment and re-certification
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of primary health care and population health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong networks and relationships.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a flexible and professional approach; able to maintain quality in high-pressure and demanding situations
