About the Role

As our National Road Logistics Tender & Pricing Manager, you will play a critical role in securing new business opportunities and supporting the continued success of our Road Logistics division. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Solutions, and international stakeholders, you will lead the tender and pricing process for strategic opportunities, ensuring:

  • Commercially competitive solutions
  • Operationally viable offerings

This role is ideal for a commercially driven logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys transforming customer requirements into compelling, winning logistics solutions.


How You Create Impact

  • Lead the end-to-end tender management process, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions across Road Logistics opportunities.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies, balancing customer needs with operational feasibility and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Solutions, and international stakeholders to design tailored logistics solutions.
  • Analyse customer requirements, market trends, and cost structures to develop compelling commercial proposals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in tender processes, pricing methodologies, and bid management.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, discovering opportunities to enhance service offerings and elevate customer value propositions.
  • Manage tender pipelines, priorities, and timelines to ensure successful delivery across multiple opportunities.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships—acting as a trusted advisor through every stage of the bid process.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Road Logistics, preferably with experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Tender management
    • Pricing strategies
    • Business development
    • Commercial roles within transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Road Logistics operations
    • European transport networks
    • Supply chain solutions
  • Demonstrated success in:
    • Developing winning commercial proposals
    • Managing complex customer opportunities
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to:
    • Interpret data
    • Model pricing scenarios
    • Deliver commercially sound recommendations
  • Strong Project Management & Organisational skills, ensuring multiple deadlines and priorities are met effectively.
  • High-level stakeholder management, including influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and polished presentation skills, with experience crafting customer-facing proposals.
  • A commercial mindset, customer-focused attitude, and proactive approach to identifying and driving business growth.
