About the Role
As the National Road Logistics Tender & Pricing Manager, you’ll drive commercial excellence and operational growth within our Road Logistics division by securing new business opportunities. Here, you work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Solutions, and international colleagues to steer tender and pricing processes for high-value opportunities, ensuring winning, commercially sound, and operationally viable solutions.
This is a dynamic role for logistics professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, turning complex customer requirements into tailored, world-class logistics strategies.
How You Create Impact
Lead with strategic foresight in every tender. Your focus will be on:
- Bidding excellence: Direct the end-to-end tender management process, delivering high-quality, customer-centric proposals with thorough attention to deadlines.
- Pricing strategy: Develop competitive pricing models that balance affordability for customers, practical feasibility, and profitability.
- Collaborative solutions: Partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Solutions, and global stakeholders to craft bespoke logistics plans.
- Insight-driven bidding: Analyse customer needs, market trends, and cost elements to formulate compelling commercial arguments.
- Process innovation: Continuously improve tender processes, pricing methodologies, and bid execution.
- Strategic growth: Propel expansion by identifying opportunities to elevate service value and customer satisfaction.
- Pipeline mastery: Steward tender workflows, weigh priorities, and meet complex deadlines across multiple proposals.
- Stakeholder advocacy: Build trusted partnerships, offering expert guidance both internally and externally.

What We’d Like You to Bring
Experience
- Minimum 2 years in Road Logistics, preferring those with leadership responsibilities.
- Proven success in tender management, pricing, or commercial logistics roles, including crowdsourcing, negotiation, and bid-winning strategies.
Knowledge & Expertise
- In-depth understanding of Road Logistics operations and European transport networks.
- Clear insights into supply chain optimisation and solution design.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to develop winning commercial proposals and manage high-value customer relationships.
- Sharp analytical and data-driven decision-making with strong Excel proficiency.
- Expertise in bid modelling, cost scenarios, and pricing analysis.
- Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills in fast-moving environments.
- Outstanding presentation and communication abilities for candid customer engagements.
- Proactive commercial mindset, customer-first approach, and a relationship-building drive.
