National Road Logistics Tender & Pricing Manager – Freight Forwarding

As our National Road Logistics Tender & Pricing Manager, you will play a critical role in securing new business opportunities and supporting the continued success of our Road Logistics division. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Solutions, and international stakeholders, you will lead the tender and pricing process for strategic opportunities, ensuring commercially competitive and operationally viable solutions.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys transforming customer requirements into winning logistics solutions.
How You Create Impact
- Lead the end-to-end tender management process for Road Logistics opportunities, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies that balance customer requirements, operational feasibility, and profitability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Solutions, and international stakeholders to design tailed logistics solutions.
- Analyse customer requirements, market trends, and cost structures to create compelling commercial proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement in tender processes, pricing methodologies, and bid management practices.
- Support strategic growth initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings and customer value propositions.
- Manage tender pipelines, priorities, and timelines to ensure successful delivery across multiple opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the bid process.

Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Road Logistics, including experience in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in tender management, pricing, business development, or commercial roles within transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics industries.
- Strong understanding of:
- Road Logistics operations
- European transport networks
- Supply chain solutions
- Demonstrated success in developing winning commercial proposals and managing complex customer opportunities.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to:
- Interpret data
- Model pricing scenarios
- Make commercially sound recommendations
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to:
- Manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
- Work in collaborative, matrix environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong presentation skills, including experience creating customer-facing proposals.
- Commercial mindset, customer focus, and a proactive approach to identifying and driving business opportunities.
