Devote Radio is a modern local radio station broadcasting across Walsall and the surrounding Black Country on DAB, online, via our mobile apps and on smart speakers. Alongside our growing audience, we provide businesses with creative advertising, sponsorship and digital marketing opportunities that deliver real results.

As we continue to expand, we're looking for ambitious National Sales Executives to introduce new advertisers to Devote Radio and build long-lasting commercial relationships across the UK.

We're looking for someone who:

Job Summary

As a National Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new advertising opportunities with businesses of all sizes throughout the UK.

Working independently, you'll generate your own leads, arrange meetings, present our advertising solutions and negotiate commercial agreements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced salesperson who enjoys building relationships and is motivated by uncapped earning potential.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach new business opportunities across the UK.
  • Generate your own sales pipeline through networking, referrals and prospecting.
  • Promote Devote Radio's advertising, sponsorship and digital marketing opportunities.
  • Deliver professional sales presentations both virtually and in person where appropriate.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals using company rate cards.
  • Negotiate advertising campaigns that meet both client and company objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity within the company's CRM systems.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Represent Devote Radio professionally at all times.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in sales, advertising or business development.
  • Is confident communicating with businesses at all levels.
  • Is self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Has excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Is organised with good time management.
  • Has a proactive attitude and enjoys winning new business.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).

Previous experience within media, radio or advertising sales would be advantageous but is not essential.
