National Sales Manager
Location: Bristol to East Anglia
Salary: Up to £60,000 + 25% Bonus + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales leader to join a market-leading manufacturer in the home improvement and water treatment sector.
This newly created role offers genuine autonomy to:
- Shape and develop a growing direct sales function
- Manage an initial team of three field-based Sales Consultants (expanding to six over time)
You will lead from the front by:
- Coaching and mentoring your team in the field
- Implementing best-practice sales processes, KPIs, performance metrics and development plans
- Working closely with senior leadership
- Helping define sales strategy, improve customer journeys and build a high-performance culture focused on growth and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a sales team, driving performance and results
- Implement structured sales processes, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Coach team members through practical, hands-on fieldwork
- Collaborate with senior leadership on sales strategy and customer experience
- Recruit, develop, and scale a high-performing sales organisation
- Analyse sales data and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Ensure alignment between sales activities and broader business goals
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience managing and coaching either field-based or internal sales teams
- Strong background in direct-to-consumer or in-home sales
- Demonstratable track record of improving sales processes, conversion rates and team performance
- Expertise in implementing KPIs, performance metrics, and coaching frameworks
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills
- Hand-on coaching style, comfortable spending significant time alongside sales team in the field
- Experience recruiting, developing, and scaling successful sales teams
- Valid full UK driving licence

Desirable
- Experience within home improvement, water treatment, renewable energy, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, conservatories, heating, or home technology sectors
- Experience in consultative in-home sales environments
- Familiarity with B2C or D2C sales models
