About Us
African Adventures organises life-changing trips for groups of schools, colleges, and charities to volunteer at over 50 schools in developing areas across Ghana, Kenya, Zanzibar, and The Gambia.
We’re a unique organisation that’s both tour operator and development agency. We provide a comprehensive travel service to our volunteer groups, organising everything from their flights and accommodation to their pre-departure support and fundraising ideas, whilst working closely with our partner schools in Africa to ensure we improve school facilities and educational opportunities for their students.
About The Role
We’re in an exciting phase of growth at African Adventures, and we’re looking for an ambitious, commercially driven sales leader to join us as our new National Sales & Partnerships Manager. This is a newly created leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and scale our national recruitment and partnerships function, influence business strategy, and play a key part in delivering our ambitious five-year growth plan.
Leading a high-performing partnerships team, you'll be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, achieving annual recruitment targets, developing strategic partnerships, and creating a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture. Working closely with the broader management team, you'll use data, insight, and effective leadership to continually improve performance, strengthen relationships, and ensure the sales function directly supports the wider objectives of the business.
This is an office-based hybrid position, with Monday to Wednesday based in our Whiteley office and Thursday and Friday worked from home. The role also requires periodic travel across the UK to support remote team members through induction, coaching, quality management, and relationship building.
About You
You'll be an experienced and results-driven sales leader with a proven track record of leading high-performing, target-driven sales functions and delivering sustainable growth. You'll have demonstrable experience of developing departmental targets that align with wider business objectives, creating a positive, customer-focused sales culture through exceptional leadership and communication, and using CRM and sales systems to monitor, analyse, and improve performance. You'll also be willing and able to travel across the UK to support, coach, and engage with remote team members.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
