National Technical Sales Manager

National Technical Sales Manager – MRO / Industrial Engineering

National (WFH & Field-Based) | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Company Car

This is an exciting opportunity to help UK industry benefit from a technology which has not yet been widely adopted in the domestic market.

SBL Services have secured exclusive distribution rights for a mechanical component brand which offers category leading performance. The primary purpose of this role will be to develop new business for this brand, whilst managing the brand’s existing customer base and ensuring they achieve maximum efficiency across all possible applications.

This is a field-based role for someone who thrives in hands-on engineering environments, enjoys solving real operational problems, and who has a strong track record of developing both existing accounts and new business.

About the Role

This is not a desk-based sales role — it is a site-led, customer-facing position where you will be trusted to manage your own diary, create new opportunities and maintain customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing relationships across 30+ customer sites, monitoring performance and ensuring uninterrupted supply
  • Conduct site visits, walk-throughs and technical reviews
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across heavy industry
  • Work closely with engineers at customer sites while also engaging procurement stakeholders commercially
  • Generating leads through networking, LinkedIn, cold calls and quote follow ups

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
