Department: Natural Capital, Real Assets

Location: London / Edinburgh

Role Overview

Exposure to a multi-award-winning team and £250m natural capital portfolio - the UK’s largest privately coordinated afforestation initiative in a generation. Working across a portfolio that holistically integrates timber, carbon, and biodiversity outcomes. Direct involvement in delivering long-term value for institutional investors and deep environmental and social impact.

We are seeking an Analyst to join Foresight’s Natural Capital team, working across the full investment lifecycle — from investment and transaction execution through to long-term asset management.

On the investment side, the role will involve supporting the execution of investments across the full lifecycle, including deal origination, bid analysis, financial modelling, due diligence, and transaction execution. This will include evaluating new natural capital, forestry, and land-based opportunities, with a focus on multi-income potential including timber, carbon, grants, and other revenue streams. The Analyst will contribute to the preparation of Investment Committee materials, support live transactions through to acquisition, and assist with exit and divestment processes where required.

On the asset management side, the role will involve supporting the ongoing management and performance of Foresight’s forestry and natural capital portfolios. This includes exposure to core asset management disciplines such as financial analysis, performance monitoring, reporting, data management, and stakeholder coordination. The Analyst will work with internal teams and third-party managers to ensure effective operational delivery and contribute to consistent, high-quality reporting across the portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
