VP – NAV Financing Structurer (Strategic Equity Solutions) @ Citi London
About the Role
Citi’s Markets business is a global leader in financial markets, providing a comprehensive range of products and services to institutional clients worldwide.
This VP-level position within Strategic Equity Solutions (NAV Financing) presents a key opportunity to drive the expansion of NAV financing offerings globally. The successful candidate will:
- Develop and execute tailored financing solutions for clients in high-growth alternative investment sectors (private credit, private equity, venture capital, etc.).
- Contribute directly to revenue growth, attract new client segments, and shape Citi’s strategic presence in a fast-evolving market.
This is an exciting role for those with a passion for client-centric financing and a desire to influence Citi’s broader strategic direction.
Primary Responsibilities
The VP – NAV Financing Structurer will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Leading origination and structuring of complex NAV (Net Asset Value) and LP (limited partner) financing transactions, including:
- Co-ordinating client outreach, participation in conference events, and engagement in industry forums.
- Negotiating and finalising financing terms, pricing, and documentation between external clients and internal stakeholders.
- Preparing high-level transaction analysis, including:
- Senior management briefings on key risks and strategic considerations.
- Transaction memorandums (TMs) and supporting Credit Risk memorandums for senior stakeholders.
- Overseeing transaction closings, ensuring:
- Successful execution of KYC (Know Your Customer) processes.
- Operational setup of loan monitoring mechanisms.
- Compliance with All UK Prudential Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.
- Supporting strategic team initiatives, including:
- Broad advisory and fundraising mandates.
- NAC (New Account Completion) process support.
- Addressing internal audit and regulatory compliance needs.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Citi’s Code of Conduct, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Extensive 10+ years of experience in origination or financing structuring, ideally within a Tier-1 investment bank or comparable institution.
- In-depth expertise in asset-backed lending, private equity financing, and NAV financing structures.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial models, projections, and risk evaluations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, capable of influencing senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative mindset with demonstrable ability to work effectively across multiple organizational units and departments.
- Strong understanding of risk management, including:
- FCA/PRA regulatory requirements (including compliance with the Individual Accountability Regime).
- Citi’s risk procedures, internal controls, and governance principles.
Skills & Competencies Preferred
- Experience in working with private credit organisations, fund managers, or middle-market private equity clients.
- Prior involvement in hybrid transaction structures (e.g., unitranche, leveraged loans, credit facilities).
- Familiarity with FICC (Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, Commodities) trading principles and practices.
- Experience in business casual workplace environments with hybrid flexibility (preferably with UK remote work experience).
