About Citi’s Markets Business
Citi’s Markets business is a global leader in financial markets, offering a comprehensive range of products and services to institutional clients worldwide.
This VP-level role in Strategic Equity Solutions focuses on expanding NAV (Net Asset Value) financing offerings. The ideal candidate will develop and execute tailored financing solutions for clients in high-growth alternative investment sectors, driving revenue growth, attracting new client segments, and shaping Citi’s market presence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the origination and structuring of complex NAV and LP (limited partner) financing transactions, including:
- Client outreach and engagement
- Participation in industry conferences and forums
- Negotiate and finalise financing terms, liaising with:
- External clients
- Internal stakeholders
- Prepare critical transaction materials:
- Senior management briefings
- Transaction memorandums (highlighting key risks)
- Supporting Credit Risk memorandums
- Direct transaction closings, including:
- Coordination of KYC (Know Your Customer) processes
- Operational setup of loan monitoring
- Contribute to broader strategic initiatives, including:
- Advisory and fundraising efforts
- Product NAC (New Account Customers) completions
- Addressing internal audit requirements
- Ensure full adherence to Citi’s Code of Conduct and internal policies.

What We Need From You
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in origination or structuring roles (preferably within a tier-one investment bank or equivalently regulated financial institution).
- Deep knowledge of:
- Asset-backed lending
- Private equity financing structures
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to:
- Interpret complex financial data
- Assess investment risks accurately
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, capable of influencing:
- Senior stakeholders
- Cross-functional teams
- Cross-functional collaboration, including effective engagement with:
- Multiple functional groups
- Diversified teams across departments
- In-depth risk management expertise, including:
- Proficiency in Citi’s risk policies and procedures
