NEC Clerk of Works/Construction Quality Monitoring

The role is to support all regional offices in delivering NEC Clerk of Works/Construction Quality Monitoring consultancy services.

We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor, Project Managers, Architects to support a pipeline of site quality, condition surveys and small project delivery projects.

The successful candidate will be supported by our building surveying team and will have opportunities to work on more traditional building surveying services i.e. Part Wall, defect diagnosis etc. as part of their overall remit.

You’ll Be Responsible For

The role will include delivery of site quality monitoring roles in both the Education and Justice sectors. The candidate will have a strong grounding in building technology including Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Reviewing works on site for adherence with the contract, good working practice and manufacturers recommendations. Managing specialist consultants to support where required i.e. M&E Engineers, Fire Consultants, Façade Engineers. Effective communication both verbally and written including ability to access and report on online information platforms. Familiarity with both JCT and NEC forms of contract. Ability to manage your own workload and to work independently including in design and tender of small to medium value maintenance projects. Experience in delivering condition surveys including use of tablet capture software. The candidate will require DBS and basic security clearances for delivery of the role.

You’ll Need To Have

A relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification. Chartered Building Surveyor/Project Manager or Architect (Essential) NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager Accreditation (not essential)
