About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in managing NEC ECC contracts to join our Water teams, specialising in flood defence schemes. Responsible for some of the world’s most complex projects, the Project Manager (NEC ECC) will play a crucial role in delivering high-impact schemes across water, civil engineering, and utilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Our Resilience team is focused on combating climate change impacts—accelerating flood defence and water sustainability efforts. From urban flooding threats to wildfire resilience, we power a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

    • Project manage civil engineering, water and utilities projects in compliance with NEC4/ECC (Engineering and Construction Contract) frameworks.
    • Support early contractual advice and contract administration during construction phases.
  • Collaborative stakeholdership:
    • Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and third parties to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
  • Resolve construction issues:
    • Provide technical oversight and strategic decision-making (aligned with industry standards and NEC terms).
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation:
    • Monitor project progress, assess risks to schedule, quality & cost, and implement timely resolutions.
    • Reallocate resources and finances effectively to support project success.
  • Reporting & Transparency:
    • Deliver high-quality management reports that support operational planning, business decisions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Quality & Safety Leadership:
    • Drive integrated project solutions, promote health & safety standards, and ensure service excellence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
