NEC Supervisor Lead (Construction Consultancy)

We are seeking a senior experienced accredited NEC Supervisor to lead and support our supervisor teams providing guidance on NEC contract interpretation, supporting guidance, training and templates for delivering the service. The successful candidate will also act as a client key point of contact providing support to identify resource need and to manage and develop opportunities to help support the team and to grow the service.
The successful candidate will sit within the building surveying team where they will be supported with additional resources where required.
You’ll Be Responsible For
Providing an overall lead for the NEC Supervisor Service, managing the quality of delivery, resource planning, recruitment and training. Supporting bids to secure opportunities, co-ordinating with key project and pipeline leads to track and resource requirements. Acting as gatekeeper for training, templates and guidance.
Provide Project Delivery As Defined Below
Developing a full understanding of the works information (project scope), accessing the project common data environment (4projects or similar) to obtain construction details and other information necessary to perform the role. Monitoring site activity through regular site visits and inspections to confirm work is carried out in accordance with the works information Maintaining accurate records of daily site activities, conditions and resources. Completing a detailed weekly site report, coordinating input from other team members as required. Obtaining, reviewing, and monitoring compliance with quality procedures including inspection and test plans, as-built records and test results. Identifying, recording, and notifying defects using our defects management tool, Field view or similar. Management of the samples and benchmarks process, including review and approval of samples and benchmarks, maintaining an accurate log of sample and benchmark status, coordinating input from technical advisors and stakeholders. Witnessing of testing and commissioning activity. Coordination of technical advisor input into site inspections, sample and benchmark reviews and defect resolution.

You’ll Need To Have
You will have relevant construction experience and a good understanding of construction methods. Able to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, you will be committed to delivering to agreed quality standards. You will be able to work collaboratively within a large project team, including technical advisors and construction managers and will be confident in the use of digital systems to access project information and record defects. Strong working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and construction contract (ECC) is essential. Computer literate and comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools - on site technology for capture and reporting. A relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager accreditation essential - with at least 5yrs experience. At least 5yrs experience managing a team. Client facing experience. Management reporting experience.
