Non-Executive Director (NED)/Advisor

We are seeking an accomplished Non-Executive Director (NED)/Advisor with extensive experience in the dental field to join our board. The ideal candidate will bring strategic oversight, clinical expertise, and governance experience to support our Dental Mergers & Acquisitions company. Only candidates with significant experience in dentistry, particularly within clinical operations and strategic leadership, will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Guidance

  • Collaborate in the development and review of strategic goals and initiatives, specifically focused on the dental sector.
  • Provide insights into clinical practices, patient care standards, and market trends within the dental industry.
  • Contribute to the identification of strategic opportunities within the dental sector, especially in relation to mergers and acquisitions.

Governance and Clinical Oversight

  • Ensure the company adheres to best practices in clinical governance, compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Provide expert advice on clinical operations, practice management, and patient care strategies.
  • Offer guidance on integrating clinical and operational practices post-acquisition.

Risk Management and Performance Evaluation

  • Monitor and assess clinical, operational, legal, and reputational risks related to dental practice acquisitions and management.
  • Participate in the evaluation of board and executive performance, providing constructive feedback and ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and goals.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Engage with shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders to communicate the company’s strategic direction and performance in the dental sector.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company within the dental industry and the broader healthcare community.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Specific experience as a Director or in a similar governance role within the dental industry for the UK.
  • Strong understanding of dental practice operations, clinical care, and corporate strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic decision-making and oversight within the dental sector.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to corporate governance principles.

Time Commitment

  • Available for 8-16 hours per month (mostly remote), including attendance at board meetings, committee work, and strategic discussions.
