Neighbourhood Officer – Hyde
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000
Location: Rochester (covering Croydon, Crystal Palace and Selhurst)

About the Role
Hyde is seeking a **motivated and proactive Neighbourbourhood Officer to join our key frontline team. Your work will help ensure our neighbourhoods are safe, compliant and empower residents to thrive in their homes.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out neighbourhood inspections to ensure properties and estates meet regulatory and safety standards
- Conduct welfare and vulnerability checks, producing person-centred risk assessments where necessary
- Act as the key liaison between local teams and specialist services, delivering a visible, proactive frontline service
- Build strong relationships with:
- Customers
- Community groups
- Local authorities
- To promote safe, sustainable communities
- Deliver operational building safety tasks in line with fire safety and building safety legislation
- Ensure full compliance with:
- Health and safety regulations
- Fire safety requirements
- Regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records, including:
- Documentation
- Compliance data
- Incident, risk, and near-miss reports in line with procedures

About You
To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone with:
- A strong understanding of housing or neighbourhood management
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset, prioritising safe and well-managed communities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with:
- Customers
- Colleagues
- Stakeholders
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in:
- Records
- Documentation
- Data management
- Problem-solving skills, particularly in managing:
- Tenancy issues
- Safety concerns
- Property-related challenges
- A true desire to work with customers, championing inclusive, thriving communities
