About The Role
We are seeking a Neighbourhood Partnership Specialist to join our Neighbourhoods team in the Merseyside/Liverpool area on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to deliver face to face customer services and housing support in our neighbourhoods, providing support to customers, delivering social impact and tenancy management services. Ensure high-quality customer service and collaborate well with colleagues and partners. Champion the Onward values to enable people and communities to be their best.
A valid full UK Driving License is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Social Impact
- Identify and contribute to social impact opportunities within the Neighbourhood and across the region to deliver.
- Support the delivery of Neighbourhood Improvements and opportunities for customers.
- Develop strong connections with partners, organisations and community groups doing positive work in our communities.

Tenancy Management
- Provide a comprehensive tenancy management service including letting our homes to minimise rent loss and to contribute to tenancy and neighbourhood sustainability and enforcement action where appropriate.
- Carry out estate inspections with partners and customers to identify improvements through the budget setting process and managing service charges effectively.
Tenancy Sustainment
- Manage tenancies which may be at risk of failure by supporting the customers to be able to adhere to the term of the tenancy.
- Provide referrals to external and internal support pathways, work closely with statutory services and provide low level support by making use of Onward support offers.
Customer Service and Customer Voice
- Focus on the delivery of high-quality customer service.
- Develop positive relationships with customers in line with the Onward + approach and listen, hear and act on the voice of customers.
Neighbourhood Plus
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues from other teams and departments to help deliver neighbourhood initiatives linked to the Onward Difference.
Partnership Working
- Contribute to excellent external partnership work to support effective service delivery.
- Be an ambassador for the organisation and an advocate for customers.
Professional Curiosity
- Be professionally curious, including taking a proactive approach to safeguarding and vulnerabilities, making reasonable adjustments and effectively logging customer contact and contact details.
Skills And Experience
- Knowledge and Awareness of related housing regulations/law.
- Experience of delivering face to face customer service.
- Experience of developing partnership working with support agencies, local authorities and community groups.
- Engage and successfully work with complex and challenging caseloads/individuals.
- Good understanding of the social, economic and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate.
- Competent IT skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to support external funding bids as and when required.
- Experience of delivering on site projects and improvements.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to a GCSE standard or equivalent qualifications/experience.
Desirable
- Relevant professional qualification e.g - CIH
