Neonatal Supervisory Manager (Band 7) – Transitional Care Unit
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse to take on the role of manager for a growing team of experienced nurses and healthcare assistants within the Neonatal Outreach and Transitional Care team. This is a full-time Band 7 supervisory manager position, covering two hospital sites.
Responsible for patients and families within the Transitional Care unit, the successful candidate will play a key role in supportive, high-quality care for babies in both the community and hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of neonatal nurses and healthcare assistants delivering care to neonates on the Transitional Care Unit and in the community.
- Ensure effective communication between all parties, including discharged patients and their families.

Patient Care Coordination & Escalation:
- Assess patient care needs and develop treatment plans.
- Ensure vital patient reviews and escalation of care where required through partnership with Neonatal Units and relevant teams.

Quality & Evidence-Based Practice:
- Act as a role model promoting high standards of nursing care and best practice.
- develop and support the team through professional education, training, and performance reviews.

Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Leads and other teams, particularly in the Neonatal Ward, to ensure high-quality care across all sites.
