Neonatal Nurse Opportunity at Frimley Park Hospital
This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who are passionate and enthusiastic about Neonatal care to join our team.
About the Neonatal Unit
The Neonatal Unit at Frimley Park Hospital is a Local Neonatal Unit made up of:
- 2 Intensive Care cots
- 3 High Dependency cots
- 11 Special Care cots
The unit cares for babies over 26+6 weeks gestation and stabilises any baby under that gestation, to be transferred to a tertiary hospital/ NICU.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality care for babies and their families.
- Assist the senior nursing staff in the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of paediatric care for an allocated group of patients from admission through to discharge or transfer.
- Assess, prioritise, plan, deliver, and evaluate safe and competent and specialised Neonatal family-centred care to the babies, throughout the unit. This will include intensive, high dependency, and special care and will be done under the supervision of senior nursing staff.
- Act as an advocate and resource for nursing, medical, and allied professionals to ensure that the most appropriate and specialist Neonatal nursing care is delivered at all times.
- Maintain legible, timely, and complete records that are kept in a safe environment in accordance with Trust policy, NMC Code of Conduct, and national guidance.
