About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Brighton, East Sussex. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the backend development for a cutting-edge CRM and Asset Management platform. As a key member of the development team, you will work closely with a front-end specialist and be responsible for architecting and implementing robust, scalable, and innovative solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in:
- Designing the cloud infrastructure
- Managing a hybrid database strategy
- Integrating advanced AI capabilities using Anthropic Claude AI
This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to shape the future of a sophisticated platform from the ground up.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in backend development and cloud architecture. Essential criteria include:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, particularly with .NET technologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (highly desirable but not strictly required if technical experience is equivalent).
- Certifications in AWS (Developer or Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
- Core technical skills:
- Proficiency in C# and .NET 8
- Extensive experience with ASP.NET Core Web API
- Familiarity with SQL Server and DynamoDB
- Experience with AI integration, particularly using Anthropic Claude or similar language models
- Strong knowledge of security protocols such as:
- JWT
- OAuth 2.0
- ASP.NET Core Identity

Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a central part in developing and maintaining the backend architecture of a sophisticated CRM and Asset Management platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and implementing scalable backend solutions using C# and .NET 8, leveraging ASP.NET Core Web API.
- Leading the development of a hybrid database strategy by:
- Utilising SQL Server with Entity Framework Core for relational data.
- Implementing DynamoDB for flexible, user-defined asset records.
- Managing AWS infrastructure components including:
- EC2
- ECS
- RDS
- S3 Ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like:
- GitHub Actions
- AWS CodePipeline To streamline deployments effectively.
- Integrating AI capabilities through:
- Anthropic Claude API or similar large language models Enabling intelligent automation features.
- Implementing robust security measures, including:
- JWT
- OAuth 2.0
- ASP.NET Core Identity To safeguard data and application integrity.
- Designing clean, well-documented APIs using:
- OpenAPI / Swagger Facilitating seamless integration with front-end components.
- Providing architectural guidance, making independent technical decisions to ensure:
- The platform's scalability
- The platform's reliability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to:
- Influence product development
- Contribute to overall technology strategy.
