Senior .NET Developer
Salary: Up to £50,000 Location: Rotherham Working Arrangement: Hybrid Technologies: C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, RESTful APIs
About the Role
Are you a .NET Developer looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We’re seeking an experienced developer to join an established financial services organisation that continues to invest in its technology team. You’ll be involved in exciting projects, building customer-facing web platforms and business-critical internal applications, using a diverse stack of modern technologies.
Your work will span the full software development lifecycle—from design and development to deployment and ongoing enhancements—within an Agile environment. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
As a .NET Developer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing high-quality, scalable web applications using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC
- Building and maintaining new features for both internal business systems and public-facing websites
- Creating scalable and efficient web interfaces for new and existing applications
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Testing, debugging, and optimising applications for performance and cross-browser compatibility
- Integrating RESTful APIs and maintaining existing SOAP services
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Delivering high-quality software within an Agile development framework
Technical Requirements
Essential
- Proficiency in C#
- Experience with .NET Core / .NET Framework
- Strong knowledge of ASP.NET MVC
- Familiarity with Visual Studio for development
- Expertise in SQL Server (designing, optimising, and querying databases)
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap for frontend development
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and SOAP services
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Desirable
- Experience with Blazor
- Background in mobile application development
- Familiarity with additional modern Microsoft technologies
