About The Role
We are seeking a skilled VB.NET Web Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting and enhancing HotLizard’s core products, particularly focusing on developing new features, improving user experience, and advancing our platform using cutting-edge technologies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with the core team to deliver high-quality software solutions without unnecessary red tape, allowing for a focused and efficient development process. Our company emphasizes a proactive decision-making ethos, ensuring that we bring effective products to market swiftly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working with VB.NET
- Proficiency in relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Self-motivated with a drive to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
- A good understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain robust VB.NET applications aligned with project specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and enhancements
- Optimize existing codebases for performance, scalability, and security
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Work with relational databases to design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards
- Assist in integrating front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP.NET MVC/Web Forms when required
- Maintain documentation related to software development and technical specifications
