Location: Chiswick, London (Hybrid – 2–3 Days WFH) Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
I'm currently working with one of London's leading organisations to recruit a Network & Security Engineer to join their Network Infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large enterprise environment, supporting a highly connected network across headquarters, branch offices, data centres, and cloud environments, while playing a key role in both infrastructure projects and day-to-day operational support.
The Opportunity
This role offers an excellent blend of project delivery and BAU (Business As Usual), giving you the opportunity to work across a broad enterprise technology stack while contributing towards future network transformation initiatives.
You'll be involved in supporting and enhancing enterprise networking, security, and connectivity across the business, working closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and improve enterprise LAN, WAN, and Wireless infrastructure
- Deliver network infrastructure projects alongside BAU operational support
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies
- Administer and support Palo Alto Firewall environments, alongside wider network security technologies
- Support secure remote access, VPN technologies, and identity-based access solutions
- Troubleshoot complex networking, connectivity, and security incidents
- Work closely with third-party providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Support network upgrades, lifecycle management, and future infrastructure improvements
- Contribute towards SD-WAN and wider network transformation initiatives

Experience Required
We're looking for individuals with experience across most of the following:
- Enterprise networking environments
- Cisco Routing & Switching
- Enterprise Wireless
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Network Security
- Cisco ISE / Secure Network Access
- Network monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds)
- SD-WAN exposure (desirable)
- Supporting project delivery and BAU environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

We'd Love to See
- Experience working within large enterprise network environments
- Backgrounds within MSP (Managed Service Providers), Retail, Healthcare, or Education (would translate well)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine passion for continuous learning and technical knowledge updates
- Industry certifications such as:
- CCNP (Cisco Certified network professional)
- PCNSA (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Administrator)
- PCNSE (Palo Alto Certified Cybersecurity Engineer) (equivalent commercial experience is also equally valued)
