ENTERPRISE NETWORK & SECURITY CONSULTANT Senior / Principal | Networking & Infrastructure | SC Cleared Location: Remote-first (UK-based) — 1–2 days per month client travel Contract Type: Permanent Seniority: Senior Consultant Clearance: SC clearance required (active preferred; eligibility essential) Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits
THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Network & Security Consultant to join a well-established infrastructure practice, delivering high-impact network and security solutions across enterprise and data centre environments.
This is a senior, client-facing role suited to a consultant with deep technical expertise and strong design ownership, particularly across Juniper technologies (including Mist AI). You will act as a trusted advisor, owning end-to-end design and delivery across complex environments.
The role is remote-first, with only occasional travel (typically 1–2 days per month) to UK client sites.
You will work across a range of projects spanning enterprise networking, data centre transformation, and security architecture, with the opportunity to develop further into cloud networking and automation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design and delivery of enterprise network and security solutions Act as the technical design authority, producing HLDs and LLDs Design and implement Juniper-based networks, with a strong focus on Mist AI, EX/QFX, and SRX platforms Deliver solutions across routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and segmentation Support modern, cloud-managed networking environments leveraging AI-driven operations (Mist) Define and implement Zero Trust and secure network architectures Lead or contribute to data centre migrations and transformation programmes Own multi-site and hybrid connectivity design Engage directly with stakeholders at senior technical and business levels Provide technical governance and best practice guidance Support pre-sales activity, including solution shaping and client workshops Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential Active SC clearance or eligibility to obtain Proven experience in a network consultancy / senior engineering role Strong hands-on expertise in Juniper networking technologies, including: Juniper Mist (AI-driven networking & wireless) EX / QFX switching SRX security platforms Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale and data centre networks Strong understanding of: Routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN) Network segmentation and security Experience producing HLD / LLD documentation and owning design authority Confident client-facing skills and stakeholder engagement

Highly Desirable Experience with cloud-managed networking and automation Exposure to public cloud networking (Azure/AWS/GCP) Experience with IaC / automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) Delivery of data centre migrations (P2V, V2V, hybrid cloud) Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD ways of working
Nice to Have Multi-vendor exposure (Cisco, Arista alongside Juniper) VMware (NSX-T / VCF) experience Juniper certifications (JNCIA / JNCIS / JNCIP) Cloud or security certifications (AWS, Azure, CISSP etc.)
