The Pallet Network (Part of the Culina Group) facilitates pallet deliveries across the UK, Ireland and Europe through its cross dock facilities at Minworth, Coventry and Preston.

Job Description

Reporting to the Network Director, The Network Development Manager will focus on sales development within partner network, responsible for the growth of sustainable input volume for The Pallet Network and Partners. To increase hub fee revenues and market share. To support colleagues to manage risk through targeted sales activity as agreed with management.

This role is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday.

Flexible on based location across the North, this role will support the North region, travel will be required.


Key Duties of a Network Development Manager:

  • Drive sales engagement and commercial development with Principals throughout the Network.
  • Work both proactively and strategically with Partner’s sales functions to support the achievement of the TPN budget by optimising the quantity and quality of hub fees.
  • Work strategically with Partner’s sales functions to ensure the current customer base is fit for purpose.
  • Ensure prospect sales pipelines support target volumes and/or target areas.
  • Support the Partner to secure sales, as necessary.
  • Report any Partner concerns to Network Director.
  • Work strategically with Partner’s and TPN sales functions to support risk reduction and/or cost reduction through positive sales activity.
  • Work with Partners to identify opportunities to improve revenues.
  • Keep up to date with TPN services & capabilities.
  • Support marketing activities and initiatives, driving adoption and participation from the Partnership to support business growth and develop the TPN brand value.
  • Report progress to Network Director as required.
  • Keep abreast of the evolving pallet industry, monitor market conditions, development potential and competitor activity.
  • Inform, influence and engage all stakeholders.
  • To identify strategic areas for new partner acquisition.
  • Prospect and identify potential new partners.
  • Secure new partners in identified areas of need.

Qualifications

  • A good understanding of the UK logistics and pallet network industry would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar commercial role.
  • High level of commercial acumen.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior leadership teams, to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Experience supporting and influencing partner or franchise networks.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to work in a high pressured environment.
  • IT literate - working knowledge of MS Packages.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the North region.
