Network Engineer

Network Engineer (12 month Fixed Term Contract)

Hybrid working: 3 days per week required in Glasgow office.

The primary focus of the role will be to deliver 3rd line operational support to my clients network environment ensuring continued availability and reliability.

Responsibilities: Responsible for responding to, troubleshooting & resolving with Network issues raised via the internal Ticket system. Responsible for the effective and efficient running of the BAU network globally. Top level support and ownership of WAN and LAN technologies and to collaborate and assist in all top-level support.

Required Skills / Experience: Strong 3rd line troubleshooting skills of complex network, system and security problems Strong experience of Cisco Switching, Cisco Nexus 3K & 9K Strong experience in routing protocols - BGP / EIGRP / OSPF Experience in Aruba deployment Strong experience in firewall technology (Palo Alto / Fortinet preferred) Knowledge of Riverbed WAN Accelerators Certifications including CCNP preferred
