Technical Architect (Enterprise Networks) – Palaio
Location: Primarily split between Windsor & Branston, UK, with occasional travel across Europe (e.g., Frankfurt, Paris).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site technical support for:
- Network equipment
- Servers
- Data centre and office infrastructure
- Design, implement, and support.
- Enterprise LAN/WAN networks
- Data Centre (DC) networks
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure
- Perform physical installation and maintenance:
- Cabling
- Racking/stacking
- Hardware component replacement
- Assist in network troubleshooting, including:
- Connectivity issues
- Hardware failures
- Configuration support (under remote guidance)
- Execute smart hands activities at direction of:
- Network Operations Centres (NOC)
- Engineering teams (Examples: power cycling, patching, resetting devices)
- Maintain precise documentation of:
- On-site activities
- Incidents
- Change logs
- Collaborate with remote operations teams to resolve escalated issues rapidly
- Uphold customer security and operational standards at all times

Required Skills & Qualifications
- L1/L2 experience in:
- Network operations
- Server/data centre support
- Deep expertise in network infrastructure:
- TCP/IP fundamentals
- Routing/switching
- Dynamic routing protocols
- Hands-on experience with:
- Network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA)
- Ability to work independently, following structured technical instructions from remote teams
- Self-sufficient for deployments and transformations
- Bonus: Familiary with:
- Ticketing systems like ServiceNow
- ITIL frameworks

- Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred Certifications
(Not mandatory but advantageous)
- Cisco assignees: CCNA, CCNP
- Other OEM/networking certifications (e.g., Juniper, Arista)
- Data centre/hardware vendor certifications (e.g., Dell, HP)
Work Environment
- Primarily on-site:
- Customer data centres
- Office environments
- Expect flexible hours and on-call availability for critical incidents
