The team you'll be working with:
You will be joining this rapidly growing service line responsible for all Managed Service contracts to all of our customers across all sectors. We cover Service Operations and service desk, AMO, Cloud technology, End User Compute and legacy ITO. We align with ITIL and are agnostic across our delivery capability in relation to core IT, cloud, service desk, EUC tools and technologies.

What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the managed services team in the advanced troubleshooting of incidents within customer environments.
- Managing incidents and problems appropriately within agreed service levels.
- Perform technical root cause analysis on reoccurring incidents or major incidents.
- Assist engagement with projects to ensure designs of technical solutions are in line with the requirements of the customer.
- Ensure that customer environments adhere to established standards and frameworks, meeting any compliance requirements at all times.
- Ensure technical documentation is completed and updated to professional standards.
- Proactive management of customer environments, identifying potential improvements to deliver increased stability, availability and performance.
- Input into the development of network roadmaps, customer proposals, impact assessments and statements of work for the delivery of further solutions.
- Contribute to delivering technical excellence across the wider network team.
- Delivery of project-related tasks such as the installation and configuration of new equipment.
- To input into the design and implementation of new network platforms, including the creation of associated documentation (HLD / LLD, support documentation etc.)

What experience you'll bring:
As an experienced Network Engineer, you will have a technical knowledge of multi-vendor network technologies gained in previous hands-on technical support roles, coupled with a high-level of technical knowledge and experience of core networking technologies in enterprise-level deployments.
The role requires you to have the ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site and multi-discipline incidents and problems, alongside providing hands-on experience of firewall and security appliance configuration and management.
You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of a Cisco/HPE Aruba Routing/Switching environment, as well as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortigate and CheckPoint Firewalls. Troubleshooting skills in core LAN technologies such as spanning tree and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) will be essential.
Knowledge and experience of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, LAN and Wireless environment would be beneficial.
Certification from major network vendors (Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, FortiNet, CheckPoint) at a minimum of associate level.
Experience within a multi-client or solution provider would be beneficial.
Although not mandatory, an ITIL certification and experience of working within the framework would certainly be preferred.
