Role: Network Engineer
Location: Bristol (hybrid)
Salary: up to £53,000

We are supporting a Bristol based defence firm who are looking to onboard a Network Engineer.

You will be supporting secure, high-impact defence projects. You’ll work across both physical and software-defined networks, helping design, build and maintain resilient infrastructure in highly secure environments.

The Role:

  • Designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network solutions
  • Working across routers, switches, servers and software-defined networks
  • Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring high availability
  • Managing VPNs, remote access and wireless networks

The Candidate:

  • Must be DV Clearable
  • Strong experience in networking roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with both physical infrastructure (routers, switches, servers) and software-defined networking
  • Experience working within enterprise-scale network environments
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking concepts
  • Knowledge of high availability and resilience protocols
  • Experience with next-generation firewalls
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark
  • Experience with VPNs and remote access solutions
