A large global organisation is looking for a Network Engineer to join its Operational Technology (OT) team.
This will be an initial 6-12 months+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.
The role will be work on a hybrid basis (UK Based).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, maintain and optimise OT network infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, resilience and security.
- Configure and manage network devices including switches, routers, firewalls and edge networking equipment.
- Monitor network performance, analyse trends and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve complex network incidents, providing 2nd line technical expertise where required.
- Support the deployment, commissioning and ongoing enhancement of OT network solutions across multiple sites.
- Work closely with OT engineers, project teams and third-party vendors to deliver network infrastructure projects and upgrades.

About You

- Strong understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and firewall configuration.
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Fortinet or similar).
- Comfortable troubleshooting complex network issues using command-line tools and diagnostic utilities.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Azure environments.
- Knowledge of network monitoring, performance analysis and infrastructure best practices.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and structured change management processes.
- Full UK driving licence, valid passport and willingness to travel when required.
