About the Role
We are seeking Network Engineers at varying levels of experience to join our growing technical team. Whether you are developing your networking career or bring significant experience in enterprise networking environments, this role offers opportunities to work with modern network technologies, contribute to critical infrastructure projects, and develop your technical expertise.
You will support the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise network infrastructure, helping to ensure the availability, performance, and security of services across our environments.
Working alongside infrastructure, security, and platform engineering teams, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of networking technologies including routing, switching, network security, virtualization, automation, and cloud-connected environments.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary according to experience level and may include:
- Supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and data centre networking solutions.
- Monitoring network performance and availability, investigating faults, and resolving incidents.
- Assisting with network upgrades, migrations, and transformation projects.
- Configuring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and related network infrastructure.
- Supporting network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, access control policies, and secure connectivity solutions.
- Maintaining network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Assisting with capacity planning, performance optimisation, and resilience improvements.
- Supporting virtualised and software-defined networking environments.
- Contributing to network automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives where appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver reliable services.
- For more experienced candidates, leading technical work packages, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to architectural decisions.

Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
- TCP/IP
- Routing and switching
- VLANs
- DNS and DHCP
- Network troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with one or more network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE, or Fortinet.
- Understanding of network security concepts and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Desirable
- Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, or MPLS.
- Experience with firewall technologies and VPN solutions.
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, or Proxmox.
- Exposure to cloud networking concepts within AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with networking automation tools such as Ansible, Python, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Experience using monitoring and management platforms such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, LibreNMS, or equivalent.
- Understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and modern data centre networking technologies.
