Technical Management & Systems Integration Specialists – Ride/Show Systems (Universal Destinations & Experiences, NBCUniversal)

This role is focused on providing technical management for Ride and/or Show systems, including Network Systems, ensuring end-to-end delivery from specification through installation and acceptance testing.
Position Summary
Provides technical management (including budget and schedule oversight) for attractions under an area of responsibility. Responsible for the successful specification, bidding/award process, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing of Ride and Show systems, including Network Systems.
Major Responsibilities
- Management of in-field installation, testing, and adjustment of scenic systems to ensure adherence to contract specifications.
- Collaboration with Facility & Construction teams and vendors to maintain clear communication regarding installation, testing, and adjustment activities.
- Vendor documentation review, ensuring designs and proposals align with contractual requirements and Universal specifications.
- Overseer of vendor mock-ups, prototypes, and acceptance testing to confirm final systems meet scope of work and schedule requirements.
- Creation of scope of work documentation and awarding vendor contracts, based on quantitative needs derived from interpreting creative intent and implementing Universal standards.
- Leading design reviews and production assessments at vendor locations to verify product quality, specification conformance, and schedule accuracy.
- Development and oversight of project schedules and budgetary demands, including scope of work management from design through installation, ensuring alignment with targets.
- Active participation in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) responsibilities by adhering to Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) policies, procedures, training, and team engagement activities.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, the successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (information technology, network administration, or equivalent) required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- Extensive experience in theme park-specific technical/engineering roles, particularly in Network Systems (network security, access control, RF/IR/UV Systems).
- Scenic/entertainment/theme park-related experience required; preference given for direct experience in systems design or project management.
- Expertise in theme park development, construction, and ride/show systems strongly recommended.

Skills & Abilities
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, mathematical instructions, and multifaceted variables.
- Strong problem-solving skills—defining issues, evaluating data, and drawing effective conclusions.
- Experience in organizing and managing complex tasks and vendors for show and ride system development.
- Critical thinking in schedule analysis and contract management.
- Diplomatic and influencing skills to navigate major decisions positively, maintaining strong interpersonal relationships in dynamic environments.
- Comfortable working in non-routine, change-driven settings with rapidly evolving situations.
