With that in mind we’re looking for a Network Optimisation Specialist to join our Network Optimisation West team at Shelton, Shrewsbury.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Network Optimisation teams are responsible for ensuring that Severn Trent meets and improves the water supply service our customers experience. This role provides technical expertise to monitor, evaluate and optimise the water distribution network and assets for our customers, and is key you have a customer focused mindset.
When successful in role, you’ll act as the architect of our network, ensuring the configuration and controls meet the company standards, are optimised to deliver a quality service, and meet our regulatory standards. You’ll perform troubleshooting to investigate issues on the water distribution network and identify resolutions to ensure long term efficiency of the network.

Your Key Accountabilities Include
- Provide data-driven insight to support risk prioritisation, operational decisions, and investment planning
- Develop control group operational strategies that improve network resilience and performance to align with Company strategy
- Mentoring and coaching to help maximise knowledge and technical skills
- Produce and maintain accurate and quality contingency plans for strategic and tactical assets
- Develop and implement preventative and mitigating actions to improve water supply to customers.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
The ideal candidate will have experience of data analysis, with analytical skills in assessment of operational data to resolve complex issues and ideally experience within a water business. You will be a self-starter who has a passion for improving performance, with excellent organisation and planning skills, and are comfortable driving work alongside others in a collaborative way that delivers results.
