24 hours a day, 365 days a year we serve 4.8 million households and businesses across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drunk, each toilet flushed is only possible because of the 10,000 brilliant colleagues working across our patch.

If you want to do more, because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.

With that in mind, we are looking for multiple Network Optimisation Support Technicians to join our Asset Planning (Waste Networks) Team. This role is based in Malvern.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

In this role, you’ll support the team in understanding the performance and condition of the wastewater network through field-based monitoring, asset surveys and network investigations. You’ll take ownership of installing, maintaining and managing pressure monitoring equipment across our wastewater assets, while also supporting temporary flow monitoring activities.

You’ll carry out both proactive and reactive investigations to improve asset understanding, identify operational issues and support the delivery of network optimisation programmes. Alongside this, you’ll complete surveys to enhance the quality of asset data within our systems, support Rising Main investigations and follow-on activities, and provide clear, timely feedback to help inform operational and investment decision-making.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Install, maintain and manage pressure monitoring equipment across wastewater assets
  • Support the deployment, maintenance and recovery of temporary flow monitoring equipment
  • Carry out field surveys, inspections and investigations to assess asset performance and identify issues
  • Collect, validate and update asset information to improve data quality across business systems
  • Support Rising Main investigations and follow-on activities to enhance asset understanding
  • Work safely and efficiently across operational sites, ensuring compliance with health, safety and company standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
