Transport Planner – Gist in Partnership with M&S

As a Transport Planner, you’ll be responsible for planning products through the Gist network for Marks & Spencer. Strong communication skills will be vital to ensuring solid relationships with depots and customers across the UK. Working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage creativity and innovative thinking to ensure efficient and effective planning.

Role Details
- Working Pattern: 4-day onsite / 4-day off duty, 7:00am–7:00pm
- Location: Basingstoke, Chineham
What You’ll Do
Using the Paragon Software planning tool, produce efficient transport plans for depots and associated customers while adhering to strict service requirements. You’ll:
- Analyse plans to identify network opportunities that reduce costs, drive efficiency, minimise environmental impact, and maximise profits
- Collaborate with operational teams to facilitate the delivery of key initiatives
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, challenge-driven professional with:
- A passionate and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to perform under pressure and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Strong ability to work both independently and within teams
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Preferable experience in road transport scheduling
- **Knowledge of **Workload Tolerance Daily (WT&D) requirements and drivers’ hours
- Strong IT proficiency
- Creative problem-solving mindset
