Job Title: Network Security Engineer Location: London (3x per week onsite) Salary: Up to £150,000 Total Comp
We're partnering with a leading quantitative trading firm seeking a Network Security Engineer to help secure and enhance a complex, high-performance network environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you'll play a key role in designing, implementing and improving security controls across critical infrastructure that supports global trading operations.
Key Responsibilities Design and implement network security solutions across a hybrid environment. Manage and optimise technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NDR and secure access platforms. Investigate security incidents through network traffic and packet analysis. Drive automation and process improvements to enhance security operations. Work closely with infrastructure, security and engineering teams on strategic projects.

What We're Looking For Strong network security experience within enterprise environments. Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NDR and SASE technologies. Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python or similar). Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching and the OSI model. A proactive mindset with a passion for security and continuous improvement.
