International bank looking for a Network Security Engineer. you will be responsible for the Network Security across the business. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and governance of secure enterprise network architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Be involved in decision making from a security standpoint of network architectures for data centers, cloud, EMEA branch offices, and remote access. Develop security reference architectures, standards, and design patterns. Lead implementation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and micro-segmentation strategies and rollout. Provide requirements for secure connectivity solutions including VPN and hybrid cloud networking. Evaluate and integrate emerging security technologies. Network Security Engineering Provide architectural guidance for: Next-generation firewalls (NGFW) Web Application Firewalls (WAF) NAC solutions DDoS protection Secure web gateways Cloud & Hybrid Security Architect secure cloud connectivity. Provide requirements and support container networking security. Define security controls for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE 10+ years of EXPERIENCE working within a Cyber security function. 5+ years of EXPERIENCE working as a network security architect/engineer. Hands on EXPERIENCE of networking tools and implementation of micro segmentation/DDoS Protection. Strong understanding of Zero Trust and SASE Architecture Good Understanding of: TCP/IP Routing and switching BGP/OSPF Network segmentation Secure protocols

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Functional / Technical Competencies: Strong strategic and analytical thinking. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Proven ability to balance technical, business, and regulatory priorities. Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcomes-driven leadership style. Demonstrated EXPERIENCE of risks & controls. Experienced in writing and maintaining IT documents, such as standards and procedures. Demonstrates an understanding of strategic business and IT issues impacting the financial services market. Strong understanding of risk and its application across technology and the business.
Preferred: Relevant industry certifications such as: CCNA/CCIE/Network +.
Contract to permanent role Based in London office - 5 days per week on site
